From Monolith to Microservices: The Evolution of a Banking Platform [ukr]

For many years, our corporate banking platform ran on a large, reliable monolith. Over time, however, technical debt, long release cycles, and module dependencies slowed us down. It was time to rethink. This is the story of an evolution for 150,000 clients: from running monolith and microservices in parallel to Domain-Driven Development with over 20 platform and product teams, from JSP to microfrontends and design systems, from IBM to Open Source. Key Takeaways: Why a stable monolith is no longer enough for modern banking Transition patterns that don’t disrupt business or harm clients Lessons from running monoliths and microservices in parallel Domain-Driven Development at scale: 20+ platform and product teams Microfrontends and design systems for faster delivery When Open Source is the right choice vs. when to buy

Do we need to bundle? [ukr]

Do you remember the times when we spent a week configuring Webpack before even starting to code? Now we have a builder deeply integrated with a framework. Do you even know what Vite configuration you have inside your Next.js or Remix.js application? But do we even need this? What are we missing to forget about all these nasty bundlers?! Let's find out!

The Art of Web Scraping: Tree Algorithms and JS Magic [ukr]

In this talk, Dmytro will share how he created a DSL (domain-specific language) for parsing HTML pages, designed specifically for web scraping. We’ll dive into tree algorithms, JavaScript code optimization, the DOM, and try it all out with some live coding.

Remix v3: how, why, and what for?

Not too long ago, Remix essentially ceased to exist as a standalone framework, having fully merged into React Router. However, the creators of Remix have already announced a new version that promises to be nothing short of revolutionary. They’re moving away from React (embracing Preact instead), aiming for zero dependencies, and most notably — once again setting out to radically reshape the world of web development. While it’s still too early to discuss the structure of Remix v3 in detail, we’ll try to make sense of the current rumors, social media posts, and interviews to explore: - Who felt the need to “reinvent web development” — is this truly necessary, or just another round of hype? - What are the core ideas behind this project, and what’s my take on them? - And most importantly — is this going to be "the same Remix" in a new wrapper, or more like the leap from AngularJS to Angular: familiar in name only?

Building Interactive Async UI with React 19 and Ariakit[eng]

Handling async operations in UI components can be tricky—flickering pending states, inefficient state updates, and unstable user experiences are common issues. Building accessible UI components presents additional challenges, as meeting accessibility requirements often requires extra effort, which can add complexity to the development process. In the context of the Next.js App Router, this session will demonstrate how React Server Components streamline data fetching, while other React 19 tools help manage mutations, loading states, and optimistic updates more effectively. We’ll combine these with Ariakit to simplify the process of building interactive, accessible UI components with less boilerplate. You’ll leave with practical strategies for managing async operations while ensuring a smooth, reliable user experience.

Quality Gate for AI: How We Built an AI Control Architecture [ukr]

This talk presents an architectural approach to AI quality assurance in which a second AI system plays the role of a “judge,” replacing traditional testing methods. Using our real-world AI Calories Tracker an application that recognizes 5,000+ food photos every day, we will demonstrate how this unconventional strategy lets us manage risk effectively and boost trust in artificial intelligence.

Architecture as Code or How to Survive in the Legislature and Not Go Crazy [ukr]

Imagine one day your team inherits a system that was built over 4 years by six different teams — just to test hypotheses. No documentation. Just a massive monorepo and Jenkins for deployment. That’s exactly what we were handed, and that’s when we decided to take full inventory — starting with Architecture as Code. In this talk, I’ll share how we approached architectural documentation systematically: from building C4 diagrams to creating Service Documentation, ERDs, and Sequence Diagrams. You’ll learn how we practically restored our understanding of the system, brought architectural clarity, and which tools (PlantUML, Mermaid) and methods worked best. This talk isn't just about diagrams — it's about surviving chaos, synchronizing a team, and driving architectural evolution through transparency.
