Mentoring is not only about sharing experience from an established specialist with someone new in the field but also beneficial for the mentor than for the mentee. Creating a positive reputation among recruiters and the community, scaling yourself and your impact through content, reviewing pet projects to develop confidence, and increasing the number of proposals from employers are just some of the benefits that a tech professional can achieve through mentoring. I will also share how mentoring beginners helped me to be hired into my current position. The presentation will help experienced specialists who want to build a professional community but are unsure of its benefits.
