Frontend 2024: pulling in different directions [ukr]
In 2024, apart from my bloody legacy in GitLab, I managed to write in:
- Next.js with all the new toys: React Server Components, App Router, etc.
- Qwik + Qwik City and experience all the pains and nuances of Resumability
- HTMX + Alpine.js (can this even be called frontend?))
I've also played around with Vue.js Vapor, read about the great reunion of Angular, and like everyone else, waited for React 19
And this is the first time in, probably, the last 5 years that frontend felt so different. So where to run and what to take?
