Years of sitting with computers and getting deeper in our IT profession brought us a pretty unique set of skills — writing code, developing user interfaces, analyzing and processing data. Can we use these skills beyond work, to benefit our everyday life?
In this talk, I will show you how I used programming, data visualization and a new reactive JavaScript platform called Observable to master parking my car, bring my bread baking skills to new level, improve my physical health, recover a precious childhood memory and make an important life decision.
