FULL STACK WEB DEVELOPER (PYTHON/ANGULAR)

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Full Stack Web Developer (Python, Django, and Angular) for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Ukraine. Our client is a Utah-based company founded by veterans of the technology and marketing industries. The client opens new doors to SMB advertisers and OOH media owners based on innovation. They work with media partners and advertisers across the US. The client is a self-serve marketplace that allows advertisers to reap the benefits of outdoor advertising at any scale. No contracts or minimum ad budgets means an advertiser can quickly and efficiently advertise on a single local billboard or any combination of the over 2,000 billboards within the client’s network. The entire advertising process takes place in an online platform allowing advertisers to create new campaigns or make adjustments in minutes. Ad space is sold in a unique pay-per-blip manner. Advertisers only pay when an ad is displayed. This granularity gives the ultimate control over when and where ad displays are delivered. They make billboard advertising more accessible and affordable for any size business. We seek a Web Engineer (Back End or Full Stack) with deep experience architecting and developing complex applications and services.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a STEM field such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics. • 4+ years of experience with Python/Django and Postgres. • 3+ years of experience architecting and building large-scale, high-TPS web services and applications using object-oriented design principles. • Expertise in Angular, TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS for Web 2.0 applications. • Proven track record of standing up a cluster of RESTful microservices. • Proficiency in both SQL and NoSQL database design for real-world applications. • Expertise in cloud technologies such as AWS (particularly SQS, Lambda, Redshift, and S3), Kafka, etc. • Experience with containerization tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, etc. • Excellent oral and written communication skills. • An ambitious full-stack web developer who has been a technical and behavioral rockstar. • Intellectually curious and embraces a beginner’s mindset when approaching new challenges. • You drive results and believe no task is beneath or above you. • You thrive on working both independently and as part of a team. • Evangelize and practice Test Driven Development (TDD) and continuous CI/CD methodologies. • Use your creativity to find simple, scalable, sustainable solutions to complex problems.

• Design, develop and maintain RESTful web services and applications in an Agile environment. • Contribute to several new technical initiatives while supporting and enhancing existing software stack. • Work with product managers and other business partners to understand their needs and translate them into technical specifications. • Follow and enhance existing TDD and CI/CD methodologies.
