Workshop: Kubernetes for Node.js Developers

During this workshop, you will create and deploy to Kubernetes simple Node.js application. The speaker will split this process into several hands-on steps.

Number of participants - 30.

During the workshop you will:

• dockerize the app;
• setup K8s and deploy the app;
• the app configuration, what DevOps Engineer will love it;
• make health-checks;
• make a Blue-Green deployment;
• make a troubleshooting app.

Requirements for participation

The workshop will be held in Russian in Zoom. Please install it on your device.

For participation at the workshop, you need to have some terminal knowledge (clone git repository, pipe two commands, etc.) and Node.js skills (write REST API app with express.js). During the workshop, you will need these tools:

• LTS Node.js and npm
• Docker
• minikube and kubectl
• your favourite IDE
