Course description:

We invite you to delve into the issues of practical architecture and see in practice:

  • how data objects work and the relationships between them
  • how object attributes affect the database, design, and interface
  • what is the practical use of a Data Directory, ERD, or Class Diagram
  • bonus: you will be able to make your own application using the no-code App Sheet solution, and with the help of Looker Studio - a dashboard for data analysis in it.

The acquired knowledge will help you:

  • quickly and correctly describe business objects and system attributes
  • visualize and analyze data using a dashboard
  • make functional prototypes in the form of a mobile or web application to test a client or team idea
  • as well as independently assemble simple mobile and web applications.
After the course, you will be able to work with various VI systems and no-code platforms. You will understand how with the help of the no-code App Sheet solution you can quickly create your own mini-version of Jira, and with the help of Looker Studio - a dashboard for data analysis in our mini-Jira. During the workshop, you will be able to make a similar decision yourself with the help of a mentor.

Program

Webinar: 9.04, 19:00
During the session, the mentor will show what is a separate business object and what is a simple list of data. Next, we'll look at object attributes and front-end and back-end validation. On the example of an application in App Sheet, you will understand how data types affect the preparation of front-end design, and how it is related to the design system. Also, the application in App Sheet will help prepare the Data Directory.

The next step will be data analysis using dashboards. Here, we'll look at how the type of data affects the way it's displayed on a dashboard, and how you can build complex reports by understanding the relationships between objects. We will describe the relationships between objects using ERD.

Workshop: 13.04, 10:00

    The first module:
  • Creating a simplified database in Google Spreadsheets and defining the objects described in it
  • Description of defined objects using ERD;
  • Creation of an application and familiarization in practice with the main capabilities of the no-code AppSheet platform;
  • Creation of a dashboard based on a table, familiarization in practice with data attributes and basic types of charts;
  • Description of the object using the Data Directory.

    The second module:
  • Normalization of the main table, new objects
  • Display of new objects on the dashboard
  • Adding new objects to the AppSheet application.
