In this presentation I will demonstrate a practical architecture for lending at a bank, specifically an example of an embedded lending process. I’ll detail the definition of embedded finance in a modern banking context.
I will share experiences with horizontal scaling of services to accommodate increased load in a microservices architecture. I'll discuss the anti-patterns of microservices architecture in the context of lending.
I’ll address the improper use of BPM (Business Process Management) system, share insights on correcting mistakes and methods we implemented to segregate the BPM system from the cluster of IT services.
An interesting case will be presented on the use of Apache Airflow for orchestrating tasks and transferring data to Data Warehouse.
To conclude I'll share experience in managing technical debt and I'll illustrate the potential consequences of ignoring technical debt in the Enterprise product.
